-* Book Fair 2008

So, I *finally* had a chance to meet up with a sister today, after a few years of getting to know her. (I’d have said “an older sis”, but I’m sure she would resent that. d :

We met up today at the book fair 2008, and, much to my parents’ & brother’s surprise, after spending 5 hours there (from 11am to 4pm) I came home with just exactly one book. (One that a “good” friend had “recommended” very highly… <sarcasm>of course, the fact that his photo and his name were printed on the last page as “the person who made this book possible” had absolutely nothing to do with his recommendation!!!</sarcasm>)

Anyway, I absolutely had a great time today… a LOT of *Opps hahaha* moments. A few lessons learned:

  1. Never criticize an author openly at the publishing booth: S/he could be standing right behind you trying to sell his books, and will end up shooting you a deadly glare
  2. Never tell the cross-dresser at a GBLT booth that you’re never going to be getting married: Especially if you and your accompanying friend are both female; they’ll end up trying to hard-sell you the lesbian books at the store. In any case though… they did give some legitimate advises (before they mistook our orientations) that we have to be VERY careful in choosing the guys when it comes to their orientations, especially in the current Thai society.

  2. >> P’Mac : *laughs* well…. maybe. It was funny nonetheless. :)

  3. YOUNGER sis ja~ … I’m only 23 :P :P

Really good lesson learned., however, it was so funny. :)

  4. Haha… did you actually criticized the author while s/he was behind you??
And what about the Thai society nowadays??

  5. @blaHCL : Yah…. and he did shoot us some murderous glare!!!! :$
