-* Random Thoughts: 29 Mar, 2008

So, in preparation for tomorrow’s Sheng Meng (a separate one from the two I had gone to last weekend), I decided that I’ll need my white light-weight jacket to battle of the UV-rays from the sun that I’ll have to spend a lot of time under tomorrow. Unfortunately, I had forgotten to launder it since last week’s sweaty Sheng Meng episode, so I thought I’d quickly throw it into the washer at my brother’s condo where I’ll be spending the night.

Even more unfortunately, my brother just bought some blue t-shirts and so I was being nice and did the laundry for him as well. Yah, you can probably guess what happened next… I now have a new light blue jacket, and also a new light blue towel (which used to be an uglier shade of cream.)

I spent earth hour outside having dinner with my family (MK… yum…) So, technically, we did turn off the lights at home during the time… does that count?

P1100268My brother & I continued to experiment with his juice extractor again today, and I think we found a very good recipe that we both like!

So, for about a liter of this mix, here’s the recipe:

6 carrots
4-6 apples
2-3 celeries
1-2 limes

  1. Ewww….ww….w I hate vegetable juice :O~~~~~ but whatever in that glass looks pretty yummy ;)

I’m planning to go driving with Pop but then, that would waste gas in effort of save energy. Not good. Might end up eating dinner at home under candle light

  2. As long as it dyed your jacket evenly… It’s more frustrating when it comes out looking “tie-dyed.”

  3. That sounds pretty good…. aside from the celeries…. (I’d love to have some carrot juice).

Next time try some grapes + apple + kiwi. It tastes pretty good too!!

  4. […] what makes us choose to do things.  For me, I finally decided to try it only after reading on Noi’s blog that her family had sort of […]

  5. >> P’Spygirl : That wasn’t “vegetable” juice sa noi na ka. Apple = fruit, lime = fruit… carrot…… sorta fruit… Okay. I can’t spin anything for celery… but celery AND carrots really do go well together na ka. :)

  6. >> Val : Well, it did come out even–for the most part… :) So, at least it’s not a total loss.

  7. >> Val : (But of course…. as long as no one looks at it *too* closely…..

  8. >> ChaCha : Thanks for the suggestion! Will give it a try. (but really, u should try celeries. it’s pretty good! and good for your health too!)

  9. I recently dyed my white stuff in laundry process too (say it like it was intended. :P).

I love juice … but too lazy to blend some, and the ones they’re selling are too sweet .. I guess they put sugar in everything around here?

  10. Earth hour is so interesting. Could you briefly explain it to me next time we talk? :)

  11. >> P’B : Yup. they do put sugar in everything around here. That’s why we’re making our own stuff!!!! Drop by my brother’s place, and I’ll treat you to a glass of that thing. hehehe. (More delicious AND Much cheaper than buying it out there too… since I’m not planning to pay for the carrots/fruits I take from my bro’s fridge… *shhhh* don’t tell him I said that. *laughs*)

In any case, I don’t know much about Earth hour either… I just found it via the black google.co.th site! (:
